Influenza (flu) vaccination is recommended every year for any person 6 months of age and over, who would like to reduce the likelihood of becoming ill with the flu.
As the strains of flu virus can change from year to year, receiving a flu vaccine every year provides the best protection against current flu virus strains.
The best time to vaccinate is autumn, but flu vaccine can be given at any time during the flu season while vaccine is available. It usually takes up to two weeks for the flu vaccine to provide protection.

About the Practice:
Clare Doctors Surgery opened their doors in January 2017 with the sole focus on being able to provide first class medical care under the Medicare Bulk Billing Schedule. Our team of highly skilled dedicated doctors are committed to all the residents in the Clare Valley and surrounding areas with our aim being to provide preventative care and health education.Â
The surgery is housed in the old Salvation Army Citadel - built in 1925 - located at the southern roundabout in Clare. The citadel passed into private ownership in 1996, where it became a restaurant for many years, then a hairdresser and now houses the Clare Doctors Surgery.
